Current Cycle Speedway

Although there is no regular racing in Glasgow, a track still exists at Cathkin, the former site of Third Lanark FC, at Myrtle Place, which is just off Aikenhead Road. This track was provided by the council about twenty-five years ago and is fenced off and has two floodlight pylons, which as far as is known, have never been used. Chic Mackie, a stalwart member of Linthouse, Knightswood and Kingsway teams, continues to race by travelling through to Edinburgh to ride for Edinburgh Falcons Details of their fixtures can be found by following the link to their site below.
